Alana's Spaces

What i don't get is of all the instincts and apriori knowledge embedded in our DNA, why wouldn't whomever created us have made us more naturally inclined to empathize and care for each other's wants and desires? Why as humans must we be so willing and able to turn away from the suffering and unfulfilled desires of our brothers and sisters?

I believe god's gifts should belong to humanity as a whole as much as they belong to individuals.  Gifted students should continue to excel through universities and graduate schools but if their education were paid for by the government, then it would stand to reason that these doctors and lawyers should not command such lofty sums of money to using these gifts or talents they were given and everyone might even be paid similar wages for using the talents that they were given to the best of their abilities.  In that way, we could function more as a cohesive organism and I propose that this would ease many tensions that otherwise come between us as we attempt to live together on the Earth.
